Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TheAiGeeks Lab (“we”, “us”, “our”), the company that owns and operates Sanatani Store (sanatanistore.in), collects, uses, stores, shares and protects your personal data when you browse the website, create an account, sign in with Google, book a pooja or consultation, chat with Acharya AI, or purchase products.
This page is maintained by TheAiGeeks Lab as the app owner. It describes our own practices and is not an independent certification or audit of any kind.
1. Who we are (data controller)
- Legal entity / primary company: TheAiGeeks Lab
- Brand operated: Sanatani Store (sanatanistore.in)
- Operating locations: Chandigarh & Uttarkashi, India
- Email: namaste@sanatanistore.in
2. Information we collect
a) Account & identity data. When you register or sign in — including Sign in with Google — we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. We request only the basic email and profile scopes. We never receive or ask for your Google password, and we do not access your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service data.
b) Booking & ritual data. Sankalp details you choose to provide such as name, gotra, family member names, birth date, birth time and birth place (for kundli and astrology services), your intention/wish, preferred date and time slot, and service mode (live online or pandit at home).
c) Contact & delivery data. WhatsApp number, phone number, email, shipping address and pincode for prasad, samagri and product delivery.
d) Transaction data. Order and booking IDs, amounts, currency, wallet top-ups and balance, invoices, and the payment status returned by our payment gateway.
e) Consultation content. Messages you exchange with Acharya AI and notes attached to a consultation or kundli order, retained so you can revisit your session and so we can support you.
f) Technical & usage data. IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referral source and interaction events, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see section 6).
3. Payment data — what we never store
All payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways. Your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking credentials and OTPs are entered on the gateway’s secure page and are never collected, seen or stored on our servers. We only receive a payment reference, the amount, the method type (e.g. “UPI”, “card”) and a success/failure status so we can confirm your order.
4. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and authenticate sign-in.
- To perform the pooja, consultation, kundli or AI session you booked, and to include your sankalp details in the ritual.
- To process payments, wallet balances, invoices, refunds and cancellations.
- To ship prasad, samagri and products, and to share tracking updates.
- To send transactional updates on WhatsApp, SMS or email — confirmations, slot reminders, live-session links and recordings.
- To send daily panchang and offer updates, only where you explicitly opted in (you can opt out any time).
- To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
- To detect fraud, abuse and misuse, and to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To measure and improve the website, including aggregated analytics and advertising measurement.
5. Legal bases
We process data to perform our contract with you (fulfilling bookings and orders), on the basis of your consent (marketing messages, WhatsApp panchang opt-in, non-essential cookies), for our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement), and to meet legal obligations (tax and record-keeping under applicable Indian law). Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it at any time.
6. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use essential cookies for login sessions, cart and language/currency preferences. Subject to the tools enabled by the app owner, we may also use analytics and advertising measurement services — for example Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity and Meta Pixel — to understand traffic, page performance and conversions. These services may set their own cookies and receive event data such as page views, add-to-cart and completed bookings. They do not receive your sankalp text, birth details or consultation content. You can block cookies in your browser settings; essential features may then stop working.
7. Who we share data with (subprocessors)
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share the minimum necessary data with service providers who help us operate:
- Cloud hosting, database and authentication — to run the website and store your account and order records.
- Payment gateways — to collect payments and process refunds.
- Google — where you choose Sign in with Google, and for analytics/tag services if enabled.
- Messaging and email providers — to deliver WhatsApp, SMS and email notifications.
- AI model providers — to generate Acharya AI responses from the messages you send in that chat.
- Logistics and courier partners — name, address and phone for prasad and product delivery.
- Our acharyas and pujaris — sankalp and birth details strictly for performing your ritual or reading.
- Authorities, auditors and legal advisors — only where required by law or to defend a legal claim.
Some of these providers may process data outside India. Where that happens, we rely on the provider’s contractual commitments and standard data-protection terms.
8. Data retention
- Account data: kept while your account is active.
- Booking, order, invoice and payment records: retained for up to 8 years, as required for tax, accounting and audit purposes.
- Sankalp, birth and kundli details: retained while your account is active so you can reorder, unless you ask us to erase them.
- Acharya AI chat transcripts: retained while your account is active; deletable on request.
- Marketing consent records: retained until you opt out, plus a short period to prove the opt-out.
When a retention period ends, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
9. Your rights and how to delete your account
You may request to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data (or edit it yourself under My Account).
- Delete your account and associated personal data, including data received via Sign in with Google.
- Withdraw consent for marketing or WhatsApp panchang messages.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and request portability of your data.
To delete your account: email namaste@sanatanistore.in from your registered email with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days, except for transaction records we must keep by law. Revoking our access from your Google account (myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party access) stops future Google sign-in but does not by itself delete your Sanatani Store data — please also send us the request above.
10. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and stored in access-controlled managed cloud infrastructure with row-level access rules, so your records are only readable by your own authenticated account and authorised staff who need them to fulfil your order. Access to admin tools is restricted and role-based. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
11. Children
Our services are intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children. A parent or guardian may book on behalf of a minor (for example a naamkaran or a child’s kundli) and is responsible for the details submitted. If you believe a child has given us data directly, contact us and we will erase it.
12. Guidance disclaimer
Astrology consultations, kundli reports and Acharya AI responses are offered as traditional Vedic guidance and are believed by devotees to bring peace and clarity. They are not medical, legal, psychological or financial advice, and no specific outcome is promised.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on the website or notified to you.
14. Contact us
For any privacy question, data request or grievance, contact TheAiGeeks Lab (Sanatani Store) at namaste@sanatanistore.in. We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
